The Facts of Life, Part 3

I just have a couple of facts to share today:

Fact #7: Sharing clothes with or wearing the same clothing as your 16 year old daughter IS a problem. Let me tell you a little story: Recently I walked into an American Eagle, saw some shorts, thought to myself "it is never that hot out," and turned around and walked outside. The first thing I see outside? A mother and daughter BOTH wearing the aforementioned shorts! Can you believe it? Me neither. So disturbing/inappropriate/slutty/embarrassing/etc. etc.

Fact #8: Wearing a hat backward is for douchefaces and douchefaces alone. IT'S NEVER NECESSARY!!! (sorry I yelled)

Now I would like to publicly confess something. I love that show Teen Mom on Mtv. Interestingly enough, I violently dislike it's predecessor 16 & Pregnant. Mostly because that show is everyone's worst nightmare come true and I'd rather not watch it play out so graphically. There is something different about Teen Mom though (beside the fact that the birthing scenes have already past). I'm not sure what it is, but I find myself watching marathons and then waiting excitedly on the edge of my couch for a new episode. Obviously I only care about Catelynn and Maci's storylines. They are clearly the only reasonable people on that show. The other two teen moms can jump off a bridge for all I care. But, I suppose that might be sad for the implied children involved, so.........I retract that statement. Instead I'll say: "I hope the other two teen moms get a little more tolerable as the season goes on so I no longer wish they would stop living." That's less mean, right? Right?

Fist Pump!

P.S. Our quote this week is something I recently said to Rock, but I feel like it's being taken out of context and therefore making me sound like a giant asshole. Oh wait, I was being an asshole. So, please disregard this entire P.S. Thank You.

  1. This is a tough debate topic for me. Obviously my first instinct was to go with Madonna because she's the orig creator of pop-diva badassery. Madonna was a lightening rod for controversy back in the early 80s (remember the video for Justify My Love and subsequent Mtv ban?). However, if we are considering current times, obviously my vote has to be for Lady Gaga. There is no one else out there being as blatantly "controversial" and getting as much media attention. Both are totally badass, but I'll have to go with Gaga on this one because I'm currently obsessed with saying "oh my gaga" any chance I get. That makes her pretty badass in my mind.

  3. Totes Gaga. Have you SEEN the video (10 min version) of Telephone? Plus, Madonna just kinda freaks me out these days...she's all 50 and looks 20. Creepy.

Stone, your writing always cracks me up. "Recently I walked into an American Eagle, saw some shorts, thought to myself "it is never that hot out," and turned around and walked outside. ".....GOLD.
