Don't Call It A Comeback....

First of all, I would like to thank our friend Pebble for once again contributing some wise words in the form of last week's guest post! Sometimes we get overwhelmed with everything going on outside of the Internet world and we need someone to help us out for awhile. Good thing all of our friends are just as entertaining as us!

One thing on my mind today: when did the 90s make a comeback? I have to believe it was some sort of sneak attack. I didn't even notice it happening, then suddenly, everywhere I turn my head there's a sea of plaid wearing bicyclists (maybe not a sea, but you get the point). First it was leggings, then came the resurgence of plaid, then came the ridiculously popular new music sub-genre "emo" which is very clearly the reincarnation of Nirvana-esque grunge rock, then this revitalized interest in biking. Who knows what will come back to haunt us next! Will it be oversized socks to scrunch down over our leggings? Will there be another slinky craze? Will razor scooters ever be cool again? (God I hope it's the slinky craze! I f-ing LOVE those things.) I'm pretty sure I've said it multiple times before, but just for good measure: the 90s were the best! I loved every second of the 90s. Spice Girls, NSYNC's first album, slap bracelets, giga pets, the Lion King, Full House, Family Matters, Saved by the Bell, All That, NKOTB, JTT etc. etc. What's not to love about the 90s? The fashions were questionable, but we all have to make and learn from our own mistakes in that department. If scrunchies make a comeback, I know several people who will likely flee the country. So here's hoping that won't happen, but other than that, I am all for the re-popularization of the 90s!

Fist Pump!

  2. OH! And I have to vote pool. I feel like a tool (heh...pool...tool) saying that, but honestly, when it comes to RELAXING, pool wins. The beach is nice and all but it's hard to relax when it's windy and sand gets ev-er-y-where, and the tide comes in and steals your sandals, and small children dump buckets of seashells on your back, and you get salt water in your eyes and a wayward kite dive bombs you and you get stung by a jellyfish, attacked by a shark, and killed by a stingray.......you get the point. The pool is straightforward: clean, sand-less, sometimes childfree, and well equipped with plenty of lounge equipment, And sans stingrays.

  3. I also vote pool. I fully heartedly agree with Lauren!I would also like to say that nothing is better then sitting in a lounge chair with a beer and enjoying some sun!

DRINKS + POOL = SUPER RELAXING!

  5. Agreed. Drinks + the beach = accidents waiting to happen. See: Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang for further evidence.
