Michael Jackson's death is truly a sad thing. No matter what we may have thought of him as a person; there is no denying that his music transformed the industry and his videos lead the way for the Mtv generation. This morning on the Today Show Tommy Mottola, former Sony CEO/current d-bag, said something to the effect of, "Just look at the power Michael had, for his death to have stopped world news the way it has today." This statement really rings true when you take a look at how many news stations had live specials last night and the fact that both Mtv and VH1 have been playing MJ video marathons since yesterday afternoon. Michael Jackson's career had an affect on modern music that could not truly be felt, unfortunately, until his death. One die-hard MJ fan had this to say, "Now he's in his own neverland surrounded by millions of children." Am I the only one who sees the irony in that statement?
In other, overshadowed, news: Farrah Fawcett also died yesterday after her three year battle with anal cancer. Farrah Fawcett will forever be remembered for her famous poster; in fact I don't actually know what else she did in her career up until the last two years. Hopefully her determination to document the last year of her life will have the effect of bringing awareness to a rare form of cancer and she will also be remembered for that feat.
Enough with the sadness, let's talk about men who think shaving their head but leaving their beard is a good idea. Chris Daughtry anyone? Luckily, there happens to be an age old rule on this subject that reads something like this: If you shave it off your head, you shave it off your face. It's like guys who are bald feel the need to prove that they can still grow hair somewhere. Well here's a tip guys: Shave it, shave it now! That need to overcompensate with facial hair is just depleting your dating options.
You're Welcome.

I am mourning the death of the King, but celebrating the birth of the shave it-just shave it! campaign. Seriously though Michael Jackson was/is a GOD, and his musical talents have yet to be matched or rivaled, and really probably never will be. I've decided this is a good time to release my musical drama based on his life in his memory.I LOVE YOU MICHAEL!!!
ReplyDeleteWe should make posters and everything! We can throw razors...although they may not be the safest idea haha.
ReplyDelete"Your welcome" should be spelled "You're welcome." It is a contraction of "you are," not a possessive adjective such as "your house." Make sense?
