Green Day, Puberty, and More Tourists.

Okay I would first like to start with calling out an amazing band and fantastic concert that I literally just got home from: Green Day. Say what you will about them selling out, or trying too hard, I still maintain they are one of the greatest bands of the last couple of decades. Number one, when did it become bad to be successful? I have no problem listening to a band just because they made it, and people that do need to step off their high horse and just enjoy the music. As far as them trying to send a message, that's not a new thing. I wish I could have been around when all of the music had a message besides "my girlfriend dumped me and my life sucks so I'ma cut my wrists." B***h whine to someone who cares. Green Day cares about this country and their fans, and yes, they use that to send a message, although I wouldn't call 21st Century Breakdown exactly modern...it's more futuristic you know? Like 1984 dystopian style more like. Anyway my point is, stop trying to find problems and reasons and complaints to make you look intelligent. It just makes you look dumb because you're unable to appreciate good music. Thanks for taking me to that concert hermano!

Moving on sort of. Ten year olds at Green Day concert: not okay. Seriously people? Green Day? Do you parents not understand that most of their music alludes to drugs and or alcohol and or sex in some way or another? And that about fifty percent of the people at that concert are going to be smoking weed? Really? Really? Not to mention how old that makes me feel! And believe me, I'm not old! I can't even drink legally! I should not feel old at a Green Day concert. I should feel young if anything.

Moving on for real. I just got home from DC yesterday and I just want to point out to tourists a few things. 1.) Do not take your children to the Smithsonian Museum of American History or the United States Holocaust Museum for either the reason that they are too young to appreciate or care what they are seeing or it will just really upset them. Not to mention it pisses off the people they keep running into and stepping on etc. 2.) If you're French and your country spends most of it's time talking about how much our country sucks, do not come to our country, take advantage of our free museums, and then blatantly ignore the clearly posted signs to respect our national monuments. Which by the way are dedicated to the veterans that saved YOUR A***S in WWII. Just saying.

So that's all for now. Check out the new Green Day CD (link above), don't take your kids to their concerts, and don't be a dumb tourist. Or French. Just kidding. I really would love to go to France though...

You're welcome.
