Back Spasms & Television...This Is My Life

This past week I've been experiencing intense chronic back spasms. Even though the pain has been excruciating at times, I've been able to look on the bright side and find the silver lining. Not being able to move/function normally has left me with a lot of time to do two of my favorite things in life: sit on the couch and watch television. I was able to watch plenty of French Open tennis matches and I left an essentially perfect imprint of my body in the couch cushions. Good times. One thing I noticed while watching the tv was that there are a lot of really annoying commercials happening these days.

First up: Domino's Pizza. What a bunch of assholes. If I have to see that Charlie Tames Holdout commercial one more time.........well, I'm not gonna be happy about it. I hate you Charlie. If you had just tried the goddamn pizza in the first place, I wouldn't have to see your face on my tv every 5 to 7 minutes. I am officially boycotting Domino's from this point forward. I don't care that you made a new crust, use different cheeses and more garlic, or that you have a new sauce. I'm still not gonna eat your pizza. Take that Domino's!

On that same note, let's talk about Alltel and their stupid, stupid commercials. I have very fond memories of the days before Alltel created "Chad" and his stupid blue shirt and ridiculous haircut. I remember being mildly annoyed by these commercials in the very beginning, but I assumed they would run their course and be forgotten in a reasonable amount of time. A few months at most, I assumed. However, here we are almost 5 years later and I still have to see Chad every time I turn on the television. Basically, I hate Alltel because of these commercials. And I also hate Chad. And I hate Verizon for buying Alltel and not immediately doing away with Chad. I also hate Verizon for several other reasons, but that's beside the point. I'm so tired of these commercials and I just don't understand why Alltel can't come up with a new marketing campaign for me to get sick of in another 5 years. I don't want him dead or anything, but I'd be happy to never see Chad's stupid face again. (Shoutout to Maddie for that phrase!)

That's pretty much all I have on my mind today (sad, but true). I'm on some pretty intense muscle relaxers that make me very sleepy, so I think I'll try to pry myself off of the couch, turn off the tv and go to bed now.
