Penske Trucks: Out to Drive Me Crazy?

Today I mostly have one topic to discuss/rant about and then I have exciting news!

Question: What are the two most feared words in the English language when it comes to highway driving? Answer: Penske Truck. You know the one I'm talking about, the bright yellow, gigantic, do-it-yourself rental trucks with imbeciles behind the wheel. Let's face it, allowing people who, on a daily basis, drive a Honda civic to rent an over sized monstrosity is never a good idea. However, having moved once or twice, I understand the necessity of one every now and again. What I cannot seem to figure out is why it seems that people who don't know how to drive in the first place are always the ones who rent Penske trucks? For instance, I see U-Hauls and Budget trucks just as often, if not more, than I see Penske trucks on the interstate/highway, yet neither of these two brands strike anger into the depths of my soul the way a Penske truck does. Is it that Penkse attracts perpetually bad drivers or that perpetually bad drivers are attracted to bright colors (Get it? Because they are simple minded fools.) Let's take a scenario into mind: You are driving along, getting ready to merge onto the highway when you look in your mirrors and see that signature bright yellow and you are immediately filled with the sickness in the pit of your stomach that usually comes after eating entirely too much ice cream. As you wait, patiently at first, for this jerk to change lanes and allow you to merge, you know in your heart that this is not going to turn out well. You're waiting, waiting, waiting, and it becomes clear that they are not going to move, so you slam on your brakes and enter the highway going a measly twenty miles an hour. Not only is this dangerous for you, but it happens to also be one of the most infuriating things that can occur in life! This has happened to me not once, not twice, but three times! Always a Penske truck, always an idiot driving, obviously. This scenario is usually followed by said Penske truck swerving from lane to lane, the inability to maintain a constant speed, and eventually me passing them and directing a few choice words at the driver. The lesson to be learned here? DO NOT rent a Penske truck unless you would like the anger of irrational grudge-holders such as myself directed at you!

Unfortunately, Rock has to take an extended leave from the blog. Not to worry though, I have called in some back-up in the form of two guest writers!
